Feflective Essay

Reflective Essay

“Daddy?” I asked. “Can I go and play in my car?”

“Sure” he replied. The shimmering brackets on the wheels glimmered off the brand new Playskool childs car. Powered Fred Flintstone style, which I found boring. I decided to go for the hill outside of my house. If only I had a little more smarts maybe that childhood toy wouldn’t have turned into a nightmare.

Eyes filled with excitement as right before the drop of a roller coaster. Exclaiming out loud as the rush of adrenaline revved my senses. Then, just when the wonderful ride was fully enjoyable a sudden bump slammed me into the side of the vehicle. The sudden shift in weight rolled the car screaming inside where no one could hear me. As my body contorted outside of the driver side of the car, my arm as if suicidal, flung itself out of the driver side window. As it did that the car over turned as in a Matrix-style effect, but then right before hitting my arm the car came down with incredible speed and pressure. The sickening crack of bone into tissue is all of what was heard well that and my banshee like screaming. I ran out the hill to my dad tears streaming from my eyes. I was taken to the hospital and was forced to wear a cast for awhile.

This is something that I should definitely reflect on it taught me to be content with things and how pushing what you would want something to be can really have some dangerous costs. I had to learn the hard way that I should have just played on the level ground and none of it would have happened. The car was not hear from again as it was thrown out immediately.
